The album will be the first release since 2016
Iggy Pop announced that he will release Free on September 6th via Loma Vista, marking his first work since Post Pop Depression .
According to a press release, the album is "dark and contemplative" and features guitarist Noveller and trumpeter Leron Thomas . Regarding the album, he said: "This is an album where other artists speak for me, but I lend my voice."
